Why did the Baptist (St. John the Forerunner) call the Judaeans offspring of the echidnae?
Because this beast eats the stomach of its mother and thus comes out of the womb. In the same way, the Jews ate their teaches and murdered their prophets.
And thus they stoned Moses and they cut and divided Isaiah with a wood saw.
