Certainly, the best way to change the spirit of the Faith is to keep Orthodox Christians from knowing their own past. Do Orthodox Christians today know about the struggles for the preservation of the pure unaltered Faith throughout the ages? Do they understand the importance of the Apostolic Faith?

“World Orthodoxy” has tried for almost 100 years to raise a generation of “Orthodox” Christians who have no idea about the Faith of the Holy Fathers, the Faith of the Apostles, the Faith that Christ gave us. This shows that there was an attempt to give a different version of Orthodoxy. A watered-down Orthodoxy that would be an agreement with any kind and every kind of heresy.

Changing a people’s mindset, spirit, thought, and will is possible and can easily be done when someone isn’t educated on any matter. This is, of course, also possible for the Holy Faith. Older generations of Orthodox Christians held to matters of the Faith even if they didn’t know how to read. Today’s people who are presumably better educated have been “soaked” with the spirit of the new age. It changes their outlook on Faith. They believe that the Faith is like all other things that are put up for pick and choose. The Faith however is characterized by the Synodicon of the Seventh Holy and Ecumenical Council as being “As the prophets have seen, as the Apostles have taught, as the Church has received, as the teachers have set forth in dogmas, as the whole world has understood, as Grace has shone forth, as the truth was demonstrated, as falsehood was banished, as wisdom was emboldened, as Christ has awarded; thus do we believe, thus we speak, thus we preach Christ our true God and His saints”.
