The yard outside of the Church of the Resurrection (Holy Sepulchre) is called the Holy Yard. It is marked by the column that was split in 1579 when the Orthodox were locked out of the Holy Sepulchre and waiting in the Holy Yard. The Armenian Monophysites were not able to accept the Holy Light but rather the Holy Fire split a column and came to the Orthodox.
