Save the Dates: RTOC Holy Land Pilgrimage January 2027

Dates are now confirmed for the next Holy Land Pilgrimage with the Western European Diocese of the Russian True Orthodox Church.

Dates & Duration

The pilgrimage will take place over 9 days and 8 nights, beginning on January 8th and concluding on January 16th.

A True Spiritual Guide

His Grace Bishop Philaretos will lead the pilgrimage, offering spiritual and historical insights on the sacred past and spiritual significance of each of the holy sites.

This pilgrimage is intended for Orthodox pilgrims rather than Orthodox “tourists.” It is perfect for those who are seeking the grace of the Holy Land, and to give thanks to God in a spirit of brotherly love among their fellow believers.

Pricing and Flights

Pricing: Total cost is currently to be confirmed (TBC) and will be announced once finalized.
Flights & Insurance: Pilgrims will be responsible for purchasing their own airfare (and travel insurance if wanted).
Flight Booking Note: Please do not book any flights just yet. Because our pilgrimage begins and ends with group bus transportation to and from Tel Aviv airport together, arrival and departure times must be coordinated with us before booking.
Passports: Your passport must be valid for at least six months past our arrival date.

Where We Will Venerate

Our itinerary will embrace the holy Orthodox shrines across Jerusalem, Galilee, Bethlehem, and the Judean Wilderness:

Jerusalem & Mount Sion: We will venerate the All-Holy Tomb of Christ, Golgotha, the Anointing Stone, the Via Dolorosa, the Tomb of the Most Holy Theotokos, and Mount Sion—the site of the Mystical Supper and Pentecost.
Bethlehem & Desert Monasteries: Pilgrims will kneel at the Holy Cave of the Nativity and the Shepherds’ Field, as well as pray at the historic ancient lavras of the Judaean Desert, including the Monasteries of St. Sabbas the Sanctified and St. Theodosius.
Galilee & Mount Tabor: We will travel north to venerate the place of the Transfiguration atop Mount Tabor, the site of the Annunciation in Nazareth, Cana, and the Monastery of the Holy Apostles at Capernaum along the Sea of Galilee.
The Jordan & Wilderness Shrines: Our journey will include the blessing of the waters at the Jordan River, as well as visits to the Monasteries of St. Gerasimos, Hozeva, the Mount of Temptation, the Tomb of St. Lazarus in Bethany, and Jacob’s Well.

Please note that we cannot guarantee access to every single shrine on the days we are there. Sometimes shrines are closed or inaccessible for reasons beyond our control. We thank you for your understanding.
