Joyful Blessings on the Feast of the Holy Apostles from the Diocese of Boston and the Americas

The Feast of the Holy and Foremost Apostles Peter and Paul, together with the Synaxis of the Twelve Apostles, brought abundant joy and blessings to the Russian True Orthodox Church.
His Grace Bishop Victor joyfully announced the reception of Priest Methodius Chwastek, his Matushka Justina, their seven children, and the Parish of the Nativity of the Holy Prophet, Forerunner, and Baptist John in Pinckney, Michigan, into the Russian True Orthodox Church. Formerly under the jurisdiction of the Synod of the True Orthodox Church of Greece (under Archbishop Kallinikos), Fr. Methodius was received through the rite of cheirothesia. The services were made all the more festive through the concelebration of Archpriest Joseph Sunderland and Priest John Blonner.
The celebrations also included the ordination of Reader Peter Pustov to the rank of Subdeacon. We pray that the Lord may grant him many years of faithful service at His Holy Altar and strengthen him in every good work.
Adding to the joy of the weekend was the Holy Mystery of Baptism of John, who, God willing, will be united in Holy Matrimony with Bishop Victor’s niece, Krestina, next month. We pray that the grace received in Holy Baptism will guide him throughout his life and prepare the couple for a blessed Christian marriage.
We give thanks to Almighty God for these consoling signs of His mercy and for the continued growth and strengthening of His Holy Church. At a time when the faithful often face many trials, such moments remind us that Christ continues to gather His flock and to raise up laborers for His vineyard.
May the holy Apostles Peter and Paul intercede before the throne of God for our clergy, our faithful, and all who seek the Truth. To God be the glory!
